Puritan Belief

The Puritans are the men of God who started in the 16th century building on the purity of the gospel message that Salvation is by Grace alone.

The TRINITY is a GOD – CONCEPT !

IF God is NOT a person, then “GOD” has become a CONCEPT !

If GOD is a CONCEPT, then everyone has the right to believe whatever they might conceive 'GOD' to be.
But the truth is that God is NOT a concept but a person, the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth (John 14:6).
The Christian doctrine of the TRINITY portrays God to be a concept and not a person.
To say that God is three persons and each person is fully God renders God to be a concept of three persons, which is clearly 'polytheism' meaning, many persons (many gods) who make up the concept 'GOD'.
If the Father is NOT the Son, and both are God, then there are TWO gods who make up the concept 'GOD', which is deity.
And, if there is a third person included in the concept 'GOD' who is not the Father or the Son, then there are three gods, a TRINITY of three entities who make up the concept called 'GOD'.

The doctrine of the TRINITY is an unbiblical doctrine because it divides God into multiple entities.
And when God has been divided into many entities, Satan places himself as the highest person into the concept of 'GOD' and usurps the title 'God and Father' which rightly belongs to Jesus Christ for himself.
More specific; it is Satan who usurps the title 'FATHER' because he knows that “For us is but one God, the Father (1 Cor. 8:6)” and every man ought to worship the Father in Spirit and in truth (John 4:24), And they took hold of the feet of the Lord Jesus Christ and worshiped Him (Mat. 28:9).
The Scriptures say, that there is only ONE God and not three and He alone is the only God our saviour (Jude 1:25), and there is no other God who can save apart from Jesus Christ.
It is the Lord Jesus Christ alone who ought to be worshiped and NO OTHER.

With the doctrine of the TRINITY Satan has lead the whole world astray (Rev. 12:9) and has blinded the eyes of the unbelieving (2 Cor. 4:4).

In the beginning God, that is the Lord Jesus Christ has created Adam in His own image and likeness (Genesis 1:27).
If Adam is one person created in the image of Jesus (God), how then could God be three persons?
If God would be three persons, then Adam would also be three persons, but as it is Adam is ONE person just the same as God is ONE person Jesus Christ our Lord and only God (Jude 1:4 and 25).

Even though ALL Scriptures testifies to the Lord Jesus Christ, yet there are numerous Christian churches who teach the doctrine of the TRINITY and are unwilling to repent and be saved from the wrath of God to all those who do not know God (2 Thes. 1:8).

Anyone who thinks and believes that God is three person, cannot know God.
Let me rephrase that; anyone who thinks and believes that God is more than one person, cannot and does not know God.
And Jesus said, “Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He (capital 'H'), you will die in your sins.” (John 8:24).

Well, that is a good enough reason for you to talk to me about that.

I agree that the whole of Christianity is a piece-meal concept of different pagan ideas. I feel that your underlying message is that we need to disperse with all that nonsense and get back to the roots of Christianity, the ones that the Word of God has taught from the beginning. By the way, Happy New Year, Paul.

Hi Keith, and a Happy New Year for you too and also for Brenda.

Well, I did not say that, but since you have mentioned that "the whole of Christianity is a piece-meal concept of different pagan ideas" :-) in some way I do agree with you, but I know that the Lord Jesus Christ has kept for Himself a seven thousand who have not bowed their knees to Baal.

As you have noticed, I am mainly addressing the problem of a multiple god-concept and of course the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ which Christianity has abandoned.
They have a form of godliness but with their hearts they are far from the Lord Jesus Christ and their empty religion profit's them nothing or not much.
Yes, they believe in a God just like all pagans but that God is not the Lord of glory Jesus Christ, their god is always somebody else like Jehovah or Yahweh or Father or plainly 'GOD', and Jesus is only a gateway to justify their belief in a false god.

You see, the root of Christianity is supposed to be the Lord Jesus Christ, He is the Alpha and the Omega, He is the root of David and of all those who are in Christ, but as it is, it is always another one whom they crown to be their GOD and the Lord Jesus Christ they eagerly condemn to be a blasphemer who is claiming to be God (John 10:30 – 33).

Hi Paul, I have shown you, before, the idea, that "Jesus is the Father" concept, was an after thought, coming into play, in the late 1300's. The roots of Christianity clearly show Y'shua (Jesus), as a man, with the complete Spirit of God, a lord and God, as Thomas clearly stated. I really wish that you would attempt to read the scriptures, for yourself. It would be a lot easier for you to understand who Y'shua (Jesus) really is.

No my friend, 'that Jesus is the Father' was not an after thought, for to us is but ONE God and that is the Father (1 Cor. 8:6 and Eph. 4:6), and the Lord Jesus made it very clear that He and the Father are ONE (John 10:30).
If Jesus is NOT the Father, then Jesus and the Father are TWO, even if you think that, if Jesus would be in union with another person called Father, they still would be TWO, but as it is Jesus and the Father are ONE, consequently NOT TWO.
(One and the same, Jesus with the title 'FATHER').
Its not complicated my friend, just think and use your reasoning, and of course the Scriptures.

God has only one Name, 'JESUS' and everything else are titles and descriptions of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus is called 'Son', Jesus also could have said, ''''I and the Son are ONE'''', or ''''I and the Spirit are ONE'''' (2 Cor. 3:17).
The Lord Jesus and ALL the Scriptures and I are testifying that the Lord Jesus Christ is DEITY, the only one God who is the creator of heaven and earth and that nothing came into being apart from the Lord Jesus Christ.

I have noticed that you are writing the title of the ONLY Lord with a little 'l' even though the Scripture uses a capital 'L', meaning the LORD GOD.
And Thomas addressed the Lord Jesus Christ with a BIG 'L' (John 20:28), that is because Thomas encountered the risen LORD who is his God just like I have encountered the risen LORD nearly two thousand years after His resurrection.
Keith, did the Lord Jesus Christ ever manifest Himself to you ?

Please, just read John 20:21, there you can see that Jesus reveals Himself in many different ways to His disciples.
Don't be happy with just a mere doctrine, doctrines can't save.

Just putting out the truth, my friend. Whether you want to accept it or not is between you and God. Good Luck to trying to change his mind. :-)

Keith, Jesus is the Truth (John 14:6) and if you do not preach Jesus, then you do not proclaim the truth.

God is NOT a man, God became a man.
There is a big difference in that statement.
God is Spirit (John 4:24) and He caused Himself to be born into His own creation Jesus Christ of Nazareth (Mat. 1:22 – 23), and in that sense God is CALLED the 'SON'.

God did NOT have a son as you or I would have a son, otherwise He would have needed a wife, God is the Son just as much as He is the Father and the Spirit.
Father, Son and Spirit are the TITLES of the Lord Jesus Christ and not of another god or entity called Yahweh or Jehovah.

Yes, the Word of God is truth. When your beliefs do not coincide, then they are not true. The remnant are those who embrace the truth, the Word of God. Yes, this is the way, that it was, in the beginning, from the beginning and forever. I have given you the truth about your beginning. You can't deny the truth. It's plain and simple and documented. However, you ignore the truth, when it's given to you, therefore, you fall to fully know he who saves you, in the same way our brothers did when he came, the first time. They missed it too. When he comes again, you will be in the predicament knowing the name of your deliverer, but not knowing him. It saddens me, for I have seen many ignore the truth, for their own way and perish, at the door to eternity.

Keith, I do not ignore the truth, I proclaim the truth just as I have said, the truth is the Lord Jesus Christ (John 14:6) presented.
You are preaching the doctrines of men, doctrines who are NOT in the Bible.
This god whom you call 'Yahweh' is not once mentioned in the Bible and the person of Jesus you are preaching is not the Lord Jesus Christ of the Bible, in fact it is another Jesus whom we have not preached or accepted (Gal. 1:8 and 2Cor. 11:4).

You preach that the Lord Jesus Christ is only a mere man, the son of an unbiblical and unknowable god called Yahweh.

It is Jesus Christ who is the saviour and no other, there is no other name given in heaven and on earth.
You have said in one of your comments that your god Yahweh saves THROUGH Jesus. Well, can't he be doing the saving by himself ? Why does he need another to do the saving ?

Strange, Jesus does all the saving and Yahweh takes all the credit and the glory for something he didn't do.
Keith, I think that you ought to believe and teach the doctrines of the Apostles and not the doctrines of men.

I think we can both agree, that there is nothing more sad, than someone, who is presented the truth, but ignores it.

You are teaching heresy here. The Bible does indeed teach that God is a trinity, three persons in one God. Easily proven:

https://watchmansbagpipes.blogspot.com/2010/09/trinity-proven-by-logic.html

The Trinity has been taught from the N.T. and by the ante-Nicene "fathers," and only the non-trinity was new.

Hi Glenn, if the trinity wasn't taught in the Old Testament, what makes you think that such a great deception would be taught in the new Testament ?
And where is it taught ?

Yes the trinity was taught be the 'ante-Nicene fathers' but that was after the antichrist church was established.
Remember, first was the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ and shortly after, the anichrist church was revealed, the Catholic church, and the Pope of Rome (the man of sin) usurped the title 'Holy Father' for himself, a title which belongs to Jesus Christ alone.

Paul,

I see you didn't bother to read my article proving the Trinity by logic. There are indeed hints of the teaching in the O.T. No, the ante-nicene fathers were not AFTER the "anti-christ" church was established. These were people who were disciples of John, e.g., and others in the late 1st and early 2nd centuries. You really need to study your history!

Thanks Glenn, for your comments, I always appreciate opposing thoughts and ideas and I like most of your posts that I have read, apart from the trinity of course :-)
Feel free to comment on my front page since most of my post are against the trinity doctrine in one way or another. I do not have any rules and no comments will be deleted, you can say whatever you like and however you like and in whatever tone you like, whether favourable or not, makes no difference.

I think that we are living in a time when most Christians will not put up with sound doctrines, but believe whatever they have been told.
Yes, I have been claiming that I fully understand every flavor of the trinity doctrine, and the Lord Jesus Christ has granted me to strike that nonsensical doctrine at the roots.

There are many books written about the trinity, but I believe in only one book and that is the Bible, any other books are erroneous and debatable.
Once we start believing in so called ‘church-fathers’ and their doctrines, where do you think we will end up ?

I think it is best to stay with the Lord Jesus Christ, because He is the TRUTH (John 14:6), and departing from Him to someone else is called the apostasy, that is departing from the TRUTH.
Perhaps the same as falling away from the Lord Jesus and accepting another god called Jehovah in the place of Jesus Christ, or another Father in the place of Jesus Christ etc.

Paul,

In my article, proving the Trinity by logic, I use ONLY the Bible. My appeal to the early church was to PROVE that the early church understood and taught the doctrine of the trinity. By claiming the "Lord Jesus Christ has granted me to strike that nonsensical doctrine at the roots," you are claiming direct revelation.

I checked out your site only because you commented on my "The Thought Provoker" blog -- I'm always curious about my readers.

I have no desire to continue to read your blog -- I am not in the habit of visiting blogs with heresy.

Hi Glenn, You said, "proving the Trinity by logic".
No Glenn, there is absolutely no logic in the doctrine of the trinity. I have been calling the doctrine of the trinity the masterpiece of Satan's deception, that is, because there is not greater deception than the trinity.

Well, to say that God is three persons in one God, or three entities who are one God, is the epitome of all deception. All trinitarinas (without exception), once they can see that elogic nonsense, they say that NOBODY can understand God, or they try to hide that nonsense among a multitude of words or concepts.

Yes, I have read many of your posts and I think that you are a straight shooter (so to speak), therefore I think that you should debate that doctrine with someone who knows the truth :-)

You said, “My appeal to the early church was to PROVE that the early church understood and taught the doctrine of the trinity.”
Who do you think is the early church ? The Catholic church ?

The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ and all the Apostles did not teach the trinity.
The first church who taught the doctrine of the trinity was the antichrist church, the Catholic church who was revealed shortly after the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ was established, and it is the Catholic church that divided God into three persons and the Pope has taken the title of the first person “Holy Father” for himself, the title which rightly belongs to my Lord, the Lord Jesus Christ.

You said, By claiming the "Lord Jesus Christ has granted me to strike that nonsensical doctrine at the roots, “you are claiming direct revelation.“

Well Glenn, doesn’t the Lord Jesus Christ speak direct to you ?
Remember, Jesus said that His sheep hear His VOICE.
As for me, the Lord Jesus Christ appeared to me nearly two thousand years after His resurrection, therefore, why wouldn’t He talk to me direct ?

You said, “I have no desire to continue to read your blog -- I am not in the habit of visiting blogs with heresy.“

Obviously I’m different to you; that is the very purpose the Lord Jesus Christ has sent me on the battlefield to preach to heretics of every kind and to pagans, unbelievers, cults and even to those who enquire of the Lord.
On my blog I welcome everyone without exception to participate in whatever way they like in order that I might win them to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ alone, so that they might be saved.
And whosoever believes in the Lord Jesus Christ will be save, and whosoever does NOT believe will be damned.

The catholic church did not exist during the 1st and 2nd centuries. You knowledge of the Christian history is poor. I used the Scripture to prove that Christ is called "God" and the "Holy Spirit" is called God, as well as the Father being called God. All are called God in the Bible, in both O.T. and N.T. You deny the evidence to blame it on Roman Catholicism, which didn't even exist for the first couple centuries of the church.

Your claims to direct revelation are false, which explains your heretical belief system. Your visions were not of Christ.

I am applying Titus 3:10-11 and terminating this conversation and unsubscribing from the comments.

I was a Roman Catholic and surely know their church history.
Apart from you, everybody else knows that the Catholic Church claims that the Apostle Peter was the FIRST Pope.
And the SECOND Pope was Linus from AD. 67 to AD. 76, then Pope Anacletus from AD. 76 to AD. 88, then Pope Clement the first from AD. 88 to AD. 97, then Pope Evaristus from AD. 97 to AD. 105, then Pope Alexander the first from AD. 105 to AD. 115, then Pope Sixtus the first from AD. 115 to AD. 125, then Pope Telesphorus from AD. 125 to AD. 136. Etc. etc.

But I say that Linus was the first Pope from AD. 67 to AD. 76, since the Apostle Peter was designated to Israel and not to the Gentiles.

You said, “I used the Scripture to prove that Christ is called "God" and the "Holy Spirit" is called God, as well as the Father being called God. All are called God in the Bible, ”

All are called God ?
Well, even blind Freddy can see that you believe in the gods just like pagan Rome.
I think that you need to repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ alone and then you shall be saved, believe NOT and you shall be damned.

The Lord Jesus said, “Hear O Israel ! the Lord our God is ONE Lord” (Mark 12:29), consequently God is NOT three.
(1 Cor. 8:6) Yet for us is but ONE God and that is the Father.
And apart from the Father is NO other God.
